Allnic Verito MC Phono Cartridge
fiogf49gjkf0d

The last couple days, having some controversy with Allnic’s preamp , made me to go few times to Allnic web site. In here I was reading the information about Allnic Verito MC Phono Cartridge.

http://www.allnicaudio.com/eng/products/view.htm?brandcode=0020010000000001&page=1

I heard it in the playback of my local guy and I need to say that I do not hate it. It feels that Allnic Verito, thanks God, is not Koetsu, not Demon and not Clearaudio, it you know what I mean. The guy who runs the Allnic cartridge uses fine TT (I have no idea about the name) and Tri-Planar tonearm. I would be hesitant to make any comments about Allnic cartridge sound in context of other person playback but I have seen many events in my audio life what the sound turned me off just because the shity cartridge sound and it was in context of ANY playback. It is did not happen with Allnic, in fact playing a few records I did like what I heard. Surely to say anything definitively it would require to play with Allnic cartridge in own insulation but I have zero intention to do it.

The sales information presented at Allnic web site linked abode is not uncontroversial and not completely accurate but it is their site and they write whatever they want and make whatever they want claims. Still, I think in the pool of the ideas for “better” cartridges I think the Allnic might be mentioned.

Twogoodears, occasionally posting at this site also have mentioned it in his blog:

http://twogoodears.blogspot.com/2009/04/wjaas-cartridges-survey-part-4-mr-ks.html

but I do not know what the Twogoodears reference points and criteria about LP playing and I do not know what WJAAS means. Anyhow, it is not a judgment of any kind but just information. Allnic Verito MC Phono Cartridge is around $2.5K that is look like an average price for a more or less good MC needle nowadays.

WJAAS is a little joke, an acronym which means Western/Japanese Audio Appreciation Society and the unpretentious personal survey I did on the handmade cartridges I had handy was an hommage to this (WJAAS) - i.e. small manufacturers and workshop, yet producing in small scale nicely sounding gears.

My reference points and listening criteria are so simple: whatever pleases more my ears, the involvement, the inner detailing and the trueness in recording rendition... all filtered through my taste and knowledge. A very personal affaire with no scientific task, but the pleasure involved in better listening to Music.

As any survey - also the humblest - there is a podium... the easiest to be tuned for best performance is not necessarily the best sounding, in my system and for my ears.

The Verito "Z", like the "Shilabe" by Miyajima Labs, are - in my opinion and as per my direct experience - among the best cartridges available, sure able to unveil new musical nuances from records...

Allnic’s “stupid” business practice.
fiogf49gjkf0d
I meant to mention it before but forgot and was reminded today by some events.  The Hi-Fi companies use doe fine customer service but to a sensible point. The points of sensibility wariest upon many factors but generally hi-end folks are well take care by manufacturers. Some absolutely fantastic customer service is frequent, the Balanced Audio Technology at the very beginning of their existence – they has beyond believe customer service.  Her it come – the Allnic Audio from Korea.

I do not know a lot about them. I spoke a few times with Allnic over emails (with Mr. Parks), heard a few of their units – good company, probably on the better quality per price ratio, and I would prefer the human-made Allnic to any crap the made by USA’s Harman International. Still the event of a few months ago truly blew my sucks off.

Allnic has a reportedly a successful MC cartridge out there that had good acceptance among those who used it. Suddenly Kang Su Park of Allnic Audio discovered that the cartridge has some kind of problem with sound, I do not even know what it is. Any other high-end company that I know would release a new model with the advantageous claims and eliminate the defect. The Allnic Audio did something unseen in hi-fi: then performed a world-wide recall with a free replacement of the used cartridges to new cartridges. That is phenomenally commendable behavior. I am sure that Mr. Parks took a great fanatical heat with this but in my view Allnic Audio bartered it for some that is very seldom in audio industry – respect, at least my respect.

The only question that I would ask Allnic Audio if I meet them: how the hell they manage to stay in business with the stupid philosophy like this….
