Just some additional thoughts on the new generation of 2A3 tubes. The only ones I would seriously consider are the Kron Enterprises, the Sophia Electric, and the Emission Labs tubes. If I did not hear these side by side over an extended period of ti...

Okay so I got the NOS Sylvania "Spring Top" dual filament 2A3 tubes and have been listening to them for a while, now I am ready to make a report on the tube. The tube is well built and structurally sound. Tapping gives a very small "tabla" sound ...

I have heard that here and there an advertising of new 12AX7 production.http://www.musicdirect.com/product/73403I wonder if it is the truly new production of some kind of new manufacturer (like Emission Labs or similar) or juts rebranded and repainte...

Yep, you re right, the Yamamoto A-06S is SET, I did not read it carefully and I was under presumption that A-06S is PP monoblock. Good for Yamamoto! The only amps I heard with AD1 were PP. Somewhere in the very end 90s I shortly was exposed to i...
