... Anyhow, if you feel that Morison Audio is a right implemented “360 degree dispersion at all frequencies into a solid angle” (soothing that actually never happen live) then is any place what the Morison Audio’s re...

Thanks, Guy. JC Morrison? I am not familiar with this character well. All that I know about him the he pop up usually around Joe Roberts and they perfume act of public saliva liking. It does not say anything about his amps, however, neither about his...
But you aren't using the tube rectifier, are you?!?
Nope I do not. I cancel the contribution to sound from rectifiers and “sonic quality” of chokes by using substantial value of blocking cap that does not allow AC to go ...

rowuk , JC Morrison has been going it for years and has
some following at the people of Joe List type. I have paid attention to what they do/say and
consider them "Manhattan White Trash" with all consequential concussions.
Wife hates this express...

As I understand it the Silbatone amplifiers are, in part, the work of JC Morrison. Although very nicely made, its hard to judge if they have any serious intention of selling them. I don't think there is any commercial imperative to do that just as th...

Besides the single driver Aporia (which I haven't heard) I don't think Silbatone has made any speakers. So they don't 'employ' GIP drivers. I think GIP is a separate Japanese company who have just been invited to participate at these German show...

Allo,Thanks for that - I've revisited the relevant portion of the "My playback" section and I have to say, I think I understand a lot more clearly now having a) spent time on this site and b) read the little recap in your post, which is a very cogent...

Allo gents,not sure if you've seen this:http://www.pmillett.com/etf_sod.htmhttp://www.pmillett.com/file_downloads/ThesoundofDistortion.pdf
Pete devised a circuit whose distortion order and level could be controlled. It was for educational purposes b...

...I would not hide that I am skeptical about omnidirectivity idea but I might be wrong, I have my reasons to doubt however in the need of omnidirectional playback. However, the omnidirectivity might be an expressi...

HelloDo you mean 78% nickel? As it's Dave's iron, I'll even *pay* to take it off your hands :-)Re 10Y: Well, it's one of the most linear tubes ever; and this has been backed up in some brief listening experiences to some of its variants. A friend act...

This is what I try to stick to: Try to create closed magnetic (steel) loops around magnetics. Ideally acompany itwith closed electric (copper) loops. This I think Pieter has done that already for you, but,as Romy impicite suggests, double boxing will...

All transformers are phase inverting. The lowest leakage point of primary and secondary windings relationship to conventional E/I and C core is the physical start of the helical spiral winding. This is assuming more than one layer of wire. In toroid'...

Ok, as I said I am skeptical about the idea of omnidirectivety. I do see a number of objective rising problems and the most important I do not see why omnidirectivety is necessary at the first palace. People who do omnidirectivety claim that omnidire...

So-called omnidirectional sound (of course here we are talking only about 360 degrees within a two-dimesional plane) is framed in the concept of emulating the microphone. This makes no sense to me, since it, firstly , fails to emulate the microphone....

The only reason I don't have a giant WE system is that I can't afford it and I don't have room. I sold all of my WE and Lansing field coil gear to my Silbatone friend back in 1989, because I know he would never sell it, he was putting together a ser...

I think, today we have a new problem with Vinyl. The quality Control in or after the cooling process. Most of the reissues today (or probably regular records too) are sensitive to clicks, pops and other noises. Or they run silent at the beginning...

It is very self-evident for kind public this clown is working. From all BS that was expressed about me I would point just two facts:
1) I never kicked Joe Roberts from my site and according to site's memebers log he keeps visiting daily.2) I d...

The “Enjoy His Music” published the old celebrated by many DIYers Herb Reichert’s article about his 300B amp ideas.
