Benjamin Grosvenor is coming to US

It used to be that all truly talented musicians were trying to make big in US. In the US today - the paper tiger with attitude – it is not the case anymore and we can catch great musicians only if we arrest them in airport.

The miserable residents of Michigan and Minnesota will have chance this February to hear live Benjamin Grosvenor performing live.

I wonder if it is possible to arrest him in Minneapolis and to deliver him to Boston for a future interrogation in the Symphony Hall?

Two Minutes Well Spent

Thanks, Romy!

How lovely!  I love it when pianists can play so incisively without pounding, it opens up such a huge possible range of expression.  And nice chromae, too, from what sounded like a thin-ish instrument.

I would gladly chance $80 on a performance by this guy!

I would also go as far as LA (which is just as well, I suppose, since he likely won't come here...).

Something to look forward to!

Every Once In a While (Thank God)...

1992?!?

Another great reason to not drive off a cliff.

I would not care if he also farts and then laughs like a donkey (as long as he restrains himself when he plays).

Best regards,

Here and Gone in a Heartbeat!

  • February 21st - Gilmore,USA,Recital
  • February 28th - Macalester College, USA, Recital
  • According to the 2010 schedule posted on his website, these were BG's only Stateside performances scheduled for this year.

    Crap.

Did anyone reading this get a chance to hear either of these recitals?  What did you think?

My guess is, this guy could continue packing them in for the rest of his life without ever leaving his own island.

Anyone know why the Finns are so favored?
