I do not subscribe audio publication but sometimes when my level of venomous hate goes down to dangerously low level I buy one at newsstand. The last night I saw October TAS magazine in Borders with a big picture of Magico speaker on the cover I ...

[quote user="Stitch"]Magico started very fast from unknown brand to a very well known brand. They must have investors that they can afford the marketing (I guess). Family business manufacturers can not afford that, no matter how good their products a...

[quote user="JLH"]Foolishness is too soft a word to describe the unspeakable garbage the Magico Ultimate is. They have mis-matched impedance drivers, improperly sized horns for the drivers, and made everything from metal. Then they go on an attempt t...

When I meet Jonathan Valin I laugh. Jonathan is soft-spoken, kind-mannered person who does not have that revolting attitude of a typical audio reviewer. Most of audio reviewers that I met behaved like idiots, claiming: “the entire wo...

We, horn people, when we see as some kind of horn outsider begin to spill his foolishness about the horns inhalations, we always feel that out territory was violated by a primitive brain who listen a box loudspeaker. The Absolute Sound, in its ...

This post has basically wiped out the entire reputation you have tried to build up in the past. Rebutting a review does not make yours right, and from my personal experiences, you are indeed far from right. I can see why some people will not agree wi...

Let me to explain how it started. It is well know that being a Dentist is in a blood of any Jewish boy and Alon Wolf was no exception. When he was little, the local kids teased that he might grow up without a dentist license and the little Alon was r...

I had the opportunity to hear the magico ultimo, in san Francisco. After i heard it, i read the article in absolute sound, and i must say that the article describes accurately the sound of this system. The room is relatively small for that big ...

hi Dominic i made myself the same question regarding the high frequencies in the orphean horn. the reason is probably because this horn has no compression, and the horn length is not so deep, and the exit diameter is 2 inch, quit big. If you read my ...

Thanks for the link, el`Ol. The original Görlichs, when they still use aluminum layers were very interesting, thought they were soft suspended drivers that is not my cap of tea. BTW, for whatever it worth the Magico new version does not use ADT...

I heard today the Magico Model 6 loudspeakers about which the audio industry pimps of all calibers created so much stink lately. I did not have a chance to listen Magico extensively: a little guy who felt the he owed the room begun to jump in my ...

I do not know who Tom Martin. He said that he runs The Absolute Sound and he apparently has power to delete my posts from TAS forum. I have finished with TAS forum – they fully indicated the level of the subject handling. Tom Martin however poste...

I do not know what fantasies Tom Martin and Robert Harley had but it looks to me that Magico Ultimate II is very much the same as Magico Ultimate I, the prefix II mean a new round of marketing BS… Here are the pictures of the Ultimate’s installa...

I was pointed out to the fact the Magico has a new idea of their 5 way horn-loaded speaker. I did review the Magico former 4-way project, it was very bad:

[quote user="steverino"]But the prospective Magico owner needs to know whether the Magicos reproduce the real Taiko drum closely enough to scare and demoralize all the JDs in the neighborhood. It's like those recorded barking dogs that homeowners use...

I didn't see Magico in Breuninger's Winners Circle in the link above. An oversight or an unhealthy bias against Taiko drums??As for Guy Sergeant's comment about the demo choices, I assume those kind of artificial sounding mixes are done on purpose as...

I was pitching before that to make a loudspeaker with integrated LF module you have no ethical right to charge more then let say $20K retail. If you charge more then you have no mechanism to deliver anything for the money people pay. However, if you...

Stitch, you see, the presence of that unintelligent audio glitter that run across web sites and drool saliva about that or this product is very unfortunate thing that actually makes very hard for sensible audio people to get any more or less releva...
