The 1812 is the reason for searching out this CD. Whenever I hear about a recording from someone, there are good comments to be found at the Goodsoundclub, one of the few audio site that has discussion about music and not only gear!...
|
But it says label: Coda, not Boheme, which according to Romy is very important?...

Any chance I can paypal you for a copy?Cheers P...

Anyone know if Tribute still in business, and if not can recommend company that has double coil on single c core for 2A3?...

Romy, agree it sounds and looks strange. But the arm works with two magnets, one sitting under the arm/string and the other below it on the base, these two should be parrallel when the VTF is measured and this occurs when the arm is leveled. So if you...

http://www.holgerbarske.com/etf09/album/cg/slides/DSC_0892.htmlI truly have no idea what this guy is doing. If it is a “new” way to measure the VTF then good luck with that. The Cat[/quote]If I recall correctly the Schrod...

I never understood all those conversations about heavier wands or lighter wands… What all this silliness came from? The Mass of the wand, along with mass of cartridge, shell and the shit that we pile up sometimes in shel...

FWIW Ive heard people with Reed arms like the Red Cedar, which is also the cheapest alternative, arm wands due to neutral sound. The Panzerholz is heavier and some think might be too heavy for 12" arm.Romy, what does the 3012 do better than the FR-66s...

My Biggest problem is the performance to cost ratio. Twenty years ago I got a pair of Onkyo DM-3 speakers as a present, I think they cost around 200USD at the time. A couple of years ago I could afford a pair of Wilson WP7s, they sounded more "clear"...

"So, my position is my feeling that LCR might be adventitious and it is what I “prefer” as better RIAA filter. Still, I use my feedback RC, so what, who said that what I USE must be what I prefer?"Romy that is Very refreshing view!Im not convinced th...

Romy,I might be confused with the passive and active, but from my understanding you prefer your active 834PT to the passive RC network and passive LCR networks. You also prefer the passive LCR to the passive RC. So 834PT>LCR>RC.If I got it righ...

If you do not like digital volume by Weiss there is always the passive alternative: http://www.designwsound.com/dwsblog/?p=1699...

Romy, what I meant was why choose LCR active over a RC RIAA passive EQ?Is there a logical explanation for this or does it just sound better in your experience?/P...

Perrew,I do not know if you use sarcasm in there but Lamm LP2 is not my bellowed phonostage. In fact I am one of the very few people whop do not like it at all. How much in what I do not like in Lamm LP2’s MM section com...

Romy, you seem to ascribe very much of your LP playbacks success to the Expressive Tech SU-2 superiority, maybe 50% from my own guess,so it must be a very nice step-up, you are one of the few that has any experience with it. There is one forum member ...
|
Romy, one thing that interest me is you use an active RIAA and the Allnic is passive circuit if I understood things?...
|
I have no clear understanding either, but I always thought that .wav was a wrapper to the PCM file. That a raw .wav that you speak about then is a PCM file with a header?
Also from my understanding the DVD-A sometimes have a "lossless"(whateve...

Romy,
from my understanding, this disc called HDAD, contains on one side a DVD-Video resolution, 96/24 and on the other side a DVD-A i.e 192/24 resolution. So the disc on one side can be played in your regular DVD player and the other in ...
