Here is an idea that I partially like. I make the horn “invisible” by using a full height of a room; I made just 12” as an example.
This is basically the regular J-horns but it is INVERTED and has a few advantages over what peop...

Thinking further about my "Hanging" inverted Midbass J-horn presented above I asked myself: where is to cut this 12’-13’ horn hypothetic horn. Initially I thought to do it in order to keep the parts smaller to be able to fit them through the doors an...
What is the purpose of having the flexibility to re-configure from straight to J horn?
This thing will be large and massive enough that physically moving it from one configuration to another will be difficult and require...

Actually if that horn would not be bending atop, go for another couple feet vertically, consequentially has a smaller throat and of course has a strong back chamber then it would be a very good J-horn (presumably that the walls and joints are not res...
After observing a pair of AK151s operating in free air, though only lightly driven, I just don't see how they can possibly generate so much pressure, as the cone barely moves!
Why shout they move? One of the ide...
After all some people proclaim there is no difference with different wires; clearly not true. BUT, it is a difference that is important to only some people. Is it possible Romy cannot hear the sonic problems that are solved by the...

Yes, this English pace did not give a lot of new information. I know nothing about the AudioTekne Company. I like that they wrote about their bass driver but I do not know how much truth and the actual results behind it. I do think that they wor...
Merlin, I was under a strong impression that the “mortal compromise” 9as you call it) in this J-horn were already mentioned with this thread.

Not so I'm afraid Romy. There has been absolutely no discuss...

The AA Moron in response to my criticism give a birth something interpretable. Here are the sweeps from Upperbass Horns and MF horn. I have no knowledge if the Moron removed the filters or the EQ circuits that might be used, wich sweeps he used...
Regarding constructive criticism, is there any chance of you explaining why you feel the installation is mortally compromised Romy? In order to be constructive, an explanation is required otherwise it simply qualifies as childis...

A phase plug in J-horn? Hm, OK, whatever…
Dresden, what I find disconcerting is that you are talking about “design” without taking or thinking about your sonic objectives. That is all reminds me very much what the folks at diyaudio.com do. T...

As usually I tend to see a generalization and patters. The very same is the case of that Brazilian installation with those Japanese hors. However, I would like to take it even further then just the very questionable design decisions in that upperbass...

Here is an interesting setup. It is nowhere in Moscow Russia. I did not hear it but it does not mean that we can’t analyze what the authored was trying to accomplish.
It is 3-way installation. Bass looks like dual G...
