Summer Refreshment; the Vignette
It's been so damned hot, I was about ready to do something stupid just to try to break the hold the heat has had on everything, including my music.

Then I thought of and played some beloved short pieces formatted as LPs featuring Arturo Delmoni (Songs My Mother Taught Me) and David Oistrakh (Encores).  Ahhh...

Both artists are gifted, and all the selections are rewarding, IMO.  A nice contrast in styles.

I'd love to figure out how to be awakened in the morning by Oistrakh and this Clair de Lune, which he plays with a clear, spare Romanticism while his accompanist plays more the impressionist.

Delightful.

Best regards,
Paul S
