Audiophiles are Happy or Nervous
I think between different communities like petrolheads or runners or other hobbies I found most of them are more happy than community of audiophiles.I do not know why? Sharing any idea against their ideas make most of them angry, it seems many audiophiles are not very relax/happy.Spending lots of money and upgrading audio equipments should make them happy but finally most of them are not very happy!
Do you know where is the problem?

Cognitive Dissonance?
Perhaps other forums are more fraternal than this one, so the "community" becomes more blended? I really haven't participated in other forums since I found this one, over 18 years ago. Here, the "task" varies according to what a given individual is trying to accomplish, and people speak freely and at length, not only about audio products but the entire process, so conversations become wide-ranging. I think if someone is primarily interested in bolstering their own opinions, they will need to bring their A Game here. Perhaps adament is a better word than angry?

Meaning of community
Paul, I do not speak about internet web forums and I do not compare GSC vs other forums , maybe I should choose a better word.I speak about happiness and enjoyment.
Maybe I am wrong but I feel many audiophiles are not very happy people.

Sowing Discontent
For many who go it alone, I think audio is fairly private, so hard to know how any one person actually feels about audio as a "pursuit", but I suspect that for most people who shop for gear at salons or shows there is bound to be a certain amount of frustration if they measure their own "success" with someone else's yardstick. We have shared here that the business of audio (including the "reviews") is all about the seesaw of promising bliss while simultaneously sowing discontent, so "happiness" is best for buisiness if it's short-lived.

Best regards,
Paul S
