The benefits of ultra high output impedance?
I discovered today an interesting detail. In one of my Sansui tuners has a malfunction and one of the output cables was accidently touching the ground terminal out the output pot. As the result the out impedance of the tuner became over 6000R. It was not good, it was addressed but… … I kind of liked what happened with bass when Sansui had so high output impedance. The bass became slow, muddy but at the same time gained an extra weight and extra depth. Sol I wonder if it is possible to capitalized on the ultra high output impedance…
