It is a shame that I keep finding threads about a 300Hz compression driver channel, that ends abruptly. I have been trying with a not-so-exact Goto S-150 replica (~1.7m deep, 75cm diameter mouth), and I know of another fellow in Sweden who tried the ...

Jean-Michel Le Cléac'h is RIP and it is not a good idea to
talk bad about dead people. However, it is not a personal commentary against
Jean-Michel but rather my attempt to point out a huge harm that he did with his
idea of what I call La-horns or...

I found 2490, so very soon I'll test how low it can go in JBLs 1x1m mouth horn designed for 2490.Also I've decided to order 270hz LeCleac'h horn from Poland (http://horns-diy.pl/horns/jmlc/jmlc-270/).If it works well with 2490, I order custom 240hz f...

I have been working on my system. I post sparse as I need to listen a lot before doing any changes or decide on anything.I have changed the 1000hz JMLC horn to a 1400hz JMLC horn and the results are better. I have better integration with the Fostex t...

Tuga,I do not know what JMLC had written in that paper – I can’t read French but from looking at the pictures I might only presume that he was trying to prove or disprove the Point Source idea by looking at the souses live sound vs. recorded-and-then...

Ah yes, sorry - that wasn't remotely clear. The drivers I have played with briefly are S2 and field coil RCAs, both have the same 1.5" throat. I was referring to my initial impressions of the sound on Martin Seddon's 160Hz horn (T=0.8 JMLC). Previous...

In my first design, I kept them all in a vertical line. It had one channel less back then. When I added the 1" throat JMLC 1000, I decided, as the tweeter operates over 9.6k, the slight misalignment may not matter. Still, I kept vary and kept the fra...

[quote user="kodomo"]I took the 200hz horn 5 centimeters higher and it really helped with the reflections of 1400 hz jmlc. I found out, every driver needs a bit more space than I assumed. So the system is now about 13 centimeters higher. When I cut t...

I had exactly the same thought...They're "elliptical JMLC" horns by autotech.pl. There are some threads on diyaudio, including:http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/group-buys/166312-waveguides-horns.htmland they have a website showing their myriad options ...
