A few months back a local audio guy advised me to use cPlay to pay files from my DAW. I installed it and was not too thrilled with it sound. Recently I updated to the new version:

http://cplay.sourceforge.net/
The new version sound slightly different biu it still has the same cPlay characteristic – it is bit too thin, too harmonically striped and has to too “showy” sound. I do understand the theoretical advantages of cPlay software, and they are not BS advantages, but the prove is in the pudding. Did anybody have a success with cPlay to beat VaveLab or Samplitude?
Another very ugly aspect of the cPlay’s sound that it has sound quality (at least the former version had – I did not play a lot with the new one) wary with respect to the application I ran on my mashie before I started the cPlay.
I run XP Pro with 4G Memory and 3.2G dual-core processor. The box does only DAW, and striped out from anything else. I do not do any change of sampling with cPlay. The cPlay send the things to Lynx 16 and then to Lavry DA924. The Cat
