"SOTA Technology" Speakers from Polymer Audio Research

Here are some folks who think ultra-stiff cones and cutting-edge technology are the way to go:

I did not read all their explanations. I have never heard these speakers. Perhaps they will be at this year's THE Show, at the end of May... Paul S

Ultra stiff in the head?

They talk about acoustical alignment, but I couldn't find any. Diamond could be a good membrane material however!

For all I know, "alignment" is digital. And IMO, so far, "super hard" tweeter diaphragms have not lived up to their "reasoning". In fact, I would have to say the same for any direct radiators with "hard" diaphragms that I have heard to date. Again, like I mentioned already, I have not heard these yet. I did hear the "vaunted" YG Acoustics Al diaphragm speakers, however, and I would say they are "very clear"... to a fault, also they are faintly "metallic, IMO. YMMV, of course; be happy.
