I need to note that for audio person who are trying to make own playback to be expressive in one or another dimension is very useful in my view to watch and to read the conductor articulation, particularly during rehearsals. I will leave up to the awareness of each reader to decide for yourself: why and how.
I will just note that to me watching Carlos Kleiber conducting is a pleasure that can be only compared with eating of the skin of a freshly roosted duck. When you have time then to do YouTube or elsewhere and search for Carlos Kleiber rehearsals. You will learn how your playback shall sound much more then after 500 years of Stereophile reading…
