Uncompressed stream?

I got email from the site’s visitor this morning with information about the Seattle pop station and I have sent the following email to the guy who runs WCRB:

Interesting, in Seattle the station that broadcasts essentially crap went uncompressed stream:


I wonder how long would it take for a leading East Coast station that broadcasts much more sophisticated music, including live music, to endorse the same streaming approach? Why WCRB is not leading in this?
