I am on record as not liking back loaded horns:to be effective at bass frequencies, a BLH needs to be as long as a FLH would be; I've yet to see a BLH, with the possible exception of the Tannoy Westminster, that actually has a long enough horn ...

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Romy. I heard the Aporia in Munich last year IIRC, Joe, and thought the sound very weird. Dynamically and tonally uneven over the frequency range.Romy: posted in error, please delete or move to the WE thread....

These speakers were not open baffle. I would agree with Mani's description of their sound, except for the 'edge' bit. That depended on where you were sitting/standing....
