Yes, I do slice the files to the separate pieces. You can see it as the files ordered by date and they are groups of 2-4 file of the same orchestra and same conductor. It has advantage that a separate file is mapped to a single composer but listening a selected file it is not feeling of the whole concert. In some cases, not always but only in some cases it is nice to preserve the nature flow of the original concert. Particularly it is useful is a first or a second part of concert has two-3 pieces in program, so the pieces in some case works together… It is exactly what I referred in my "Cut or do to Cut" quandary.
