Tomorrow MET will be broadcasting Barenboim leading MET with Tristan and Isolde. It has been run for 2 weeks I has generally a good reception.

I would certainly love to see James Leven in there but it is what it is. I like what Barenboim talk, not conducts but despite of it I have a good feeling about tomorrow and I am planning to spend a bid part of the day in my couch listing MET live. Here in Boston we have also something special that you freaks who do not live in the Bean City have no access. (beside the web podcast). After each MET live broadcast WHRB’s David Eliot runs a few hours program with the most interesting performances of the given opera over the last 100 years. In many instance the “post Met” program is more fun than the Met broadcast.
Anyhow, it is tomorrow and it starts at 11AM in NY. I am kind of laughing seeing Californians who would like to get LIVE to start listing at 8AM. The Wagner at 8AM – it shell be really freaky!
