hi Koshka Sr...the reply has been illustrative as usual...

when you

yes, but then we have residency....5, maybe 7 years of *relative* poverty :-O

yes, i've been to the chicago tube audio meetings...its like  walking into a proctologist convention when you're a gynecologist.

I have heard some ultra inexpensive

this is interesting...i'll keep an eye out for accidental successes.

i'm ruined. :-)

my current speakers in storage are rather similar to the Proacs in communicative abilities....i actually prefer mine as the 2.5 seems to have a slightly uncivilized upper midrange/lower treble.  it drives me a bit crazy when i listen to something like a bach partita.

well, my brain was exercised at least. :-)

I doubt. Well,

only until school is over! :-)  i'll be in NYC next week....primarily for pizza, secondarily for a wedding....i can't begin to tell you how weird this chicago culture is.

it is!  but in some form of masochistic delirium, i actually considered posting at AA yesterday.  but you're right and i'll have to make it up to your site with some sort of music  recommendation.

[for instance to “get” Bruckner]

if a new pair of speakers can help me get bruckner, i'd buy them in a heartbeat.  that damn guy keeps putting me to sleep.

regarding the supertask/task relationship, i couldn't agree more....i didn't know that method actor guy proposed it, but its completely applicable to almost every aspect of ones life.

[Second you may discover that your new musical senses might be used as a super powerful audio navigation tool across the speaker universe, and you will be able to guide your speaker selection contingent upon your successes or failures in the musical exploration. ]

i started in a similar fashion when i tried to keep getting the most out of a pair of headphones.  it really wasn't cutting it for me musically so i started the speaker hunt.  putting my main speakers in storage was one of the best things i've ever done; now i do feel i need some replacement.

[The missing bricks could be easily and painlessly patched and then the existences of the  building itself would accept or reject the new bricks depends how the bricks would benefit the entire architectural idea…]

hm....then all i really may need to do at the moment is try my old speakers again or attach my little tivoli 2 to the system.  of course, as you've already suggested, i'm in the club....

thanks for the thought out response.

Best,
Chirag
