Two dozen drivers and a dozen boxes later I came to a sad conclusion - there is absolutely no way to build a good-sounding one-box solution. Each section compromises the other one and trying to compromise only destroys the sound. I am not ready for horns (WAF!) but looks like I am getting ready for at least three boxes per side...
