...he uses one section of the 6SN7 for gain, the other as a cathode follower to provide current drive to the grid of the output tube. On some of his monoblocks he uses a dissimilar dual triode like a 6DN7 or 6EM7 this way, with the lower gain-lower plate resistance section as the cathode follower.Rerurn to Romy the Cat's Site
