I wasn't presuming that anyone at TAD did make a deliberate choice not to use Neodymium for the magnet on the 703. I am also aware that other TAD drivers do use Neodymium. I was listening to some 4003's quite recently which do just that. I suspect 'Be' may well be right about the design of the 703 predating the widespread adoption of Neo. However, as I'm not sure when the 703 was first introduced I could not be certain that was the case. As I recall (I may be wrong) audio applications of Neodymium began appearing in the late 1980's.Rerurn to Romy the Cat's Site
