Post Subject: Tolga Kashif's “The Queen Symphony”Posted by Romy the Cat on: 6/8/2004
I few months back I picked up in my local used CD store a used CD of “The Queen Symphony ” for $5. To my surprise (and I am not a big fan of the Queen rock-and-roll band and do not particularly know their music … the 5-movement symphony is derivation form the Queen compositions) the disk was wonderful and the composition was very mature and very thoughtful.  It was composed by Tolga Kashif and performed by him with the Royal Philharmonic. The disk is in a way a surprise to me and any adaptations, and partially coming form the pop music should be quite pathetic (and they usually are) but the “The Queen Symphony” is very much different and I hole this Symphony as a quite voluble position and quite interesting music.
