I can talk a lot about it but to in short: Tractrix has maximum gain among all profiles relative to the length of the horn. Also, Tractrix has higher tolerance, when overloading when other horns usually drive them into honk. Even if Tractrix does begin to “clip with honks” then it does it in much less revolting fusion then other horns…. It is a big subject and I do not think that we need to know “whys” - we need juts use it.
