Jarek, I am not sure why I quipped the idea of the typical "brick wall filter" while speaking of a (John Wright modified)) iDAT 44. I am not versed on the Meitner's "slippery algorithm" (filter), but I have long supposed that this particular filter is a difference maker, whatever one thinks of the differences. I am well versed on grounding as it relates to sound, however, and this is an "easy" recommendation, as is battery power, given the unit was designed for 12V power source (eg, wall wart) vs internal rectification.
