Post Subject: "Re-discovery"Posted by Paul S on: 5/30/2026
Robin, I have spent more time than I want to admit poring through various archives, exploring topics ranging from alchemy to esoteric religions, philosophy, psychology, and science, driven on by the idea that I would stumble upon or piece together something of value that had somehow been lost over time. While the rate of return/ROI for my time and attention has been pretty low over many years, I am quite pleased with this new-to-me information about neo-renaissance Music! This confirms my long-held suspicions about "lost information", and it also "explains" why I have long "heard" aspects of this Music that were not actually being played, rather "intuited" like some sort of historical LP groove echo/foreshadowing. This, oddly enough, is what I meant when I said it "makes sense". What a happy outcome, and what an antidote to the laborous groanings of early "recreations" of this Music!

Whether or not the composer owns the work, it is great to at least be able to have a better idea what the composer meant as a starting point. It is ironic that so much can be set aside or lost for so long, but how nice to "re-discover", as reminiscing seems somehow to include time-gone-by.

Best regards,
Paul S
