Post Subject: What the difference between a trumpet and amplifier?Posted by Romy the Cat on: 5/28/2026
Paul, you might find my question completely irrelevant to this thread, but in my mind, it’s quite relevant—though the connection is hidden deep. That said, I must admit I recently found a very serious doctor who explained why my brain sees certain connections others can’t. I share this from two perspectives: first, as confirmation of my diagnosis, and perhaps as an opportunity for you to glimpse the subject deeper.
I’m no authority, but if the departed friend Neil were here, he could confirm or deny the validity of my example. Without his judgment, take my hypothesis as an abstract brain exercise. We know cannabis has various strains, each with slightly different psychological effects. Let’s say strain ABC is known to enhance creativity. I’m not questioning the link between a chemical composition and brain impact. But here’s the deep question: Does ABC have its effect because we believe it does, notice that it does, or does that association exist independently of our attention?
Now, extrapolate that to amplifier A and amplifier B. The deep meta-question is: Does the difference in value exist in the amplifiers intrinsically, or does it exist because we paid attention to it and assigned value to this attention?
Paul, if you find merit or interest in my line of thoughts and my perspective then ask a proper question. If you do, I don't mind to share my explanation to your question or give to you some pointers for thinking in order you discover the ansvers yourself.Rerurn to Romy the Cat's Site
