Many will recall the old statement, give enough monkeys
typewriters, and give them enough time, you will have all the great books.
Well, I, for one, do not plan to oversee this enterprise, which fails to prove anything
because it simply posts its premise in pretty much of a theoretical void as it
attempts to make that void big enough to contain the premise. Audio discussions
face similar challenges; there needs to be enough “context” to stipulate
(anything), and there needs to be mutual understanding and “enough” agreement
between parties before anything determinative can be established. Not to
mention, if we “begin” with the idea that Music is a “special case”,
transcendent in its own right, the nature of “Understanding” itself becomes
elusive to the extent that it becomes exclusive. Which is not to say it’s not
True…
