This is very interesting time for me in my audio development. I have my Rebel++, I am completely comfortable with its result, I still am trying to figure out why but it is not the point. Yesterday I decided that the lower base is so good is it I would like to compliment it with an subwoofer. It is not that I need more over base. My interest actually much more applied: I would like to see if it is possible to add to this beautiful base something at the bottom without screwing it up. I am not a moron and I know how to do it properly and I have a number of good low frequency modules that can do the job. Okay, I did it and it is seamless. So I have my little corner horn producing very very impressive bass, not as good but comparable to what my main system does. Now is the question, do I need to keep it?
This is a very complicated question. That fortified bass from a corner corn clearly surfs auditable benefits. But I admit it's provide strictly audio pleasure with some of Mahler like demo trucks. For normal listening it is absolutely not necessary. So, do I need to keep it?
I do not have obsessive compulsive tendencies with audio can you find discover it in myself I fight with them. I do like to make audio to sound the way how I like. To me it feels as creativity and I feel I'm good with it. Still, I question that results that I get this fortified horn is better in aesthetical sense. It is certainly more impressive but does this payload of outer expressiveness has actually aesthetical values from music or it has an aesthetical value only from audio language?
