We are looking for a car for last month. I turned my lease
in at beginning of this year and am temporary driving Amy’s brother car. Amy’s
brother Charlie is doing a contract at South Poll, so somebody need to keep those
batteries in the hybrid charged. Charlie is coming back and we naturally were
wondering what to get. A month or so where were changing oil at Charlie car and
while where there we drove Toyota Sienna. Under normal circumstance I would
feel that it is a “fucking van” – the ultimate emasculation of a real man
however, we absolutely felt in love with the car and whoever we saw since then
we felt that top of the line Sienna is what we want. After much of self-education,
trying and searching we got 2014 Limited with all possible to have features and
yesterday we had our first Grande Voyage – we vent to Vermont to do what we in
New England call “leaf peeping” – to observe the fall foliage and leafs tune yellow
and red.
We name the Sienna Thomasmobile or Thomaswagon. It is no
surprise that baby was main objective in this but to my huge suspire it is a
very pleasant car. It has even very nice sounding JBL system, much belter then
the "premium" crap in our Acura RDX.
So, we are riding the west Massachusetts and south Vermont, Thomas
is playing in his car seat and express very little interest to the MET production
of Magic Flute were showing to the screen. Neither to the infant cartoons entertain
him and then he became openly bored. Here is where the magic happened. I put a
DVD of Gunter Want with BBC playing the Bruckner 5 symphony. The baby go petrified
and not only turn to listening attentively but twist himself in the car seat
making sure that he see the screen properly. It might not mean anything but the
story make me kind of happy.
