As almost a month passed but I still ca not go over some aspects of the Bruckner 8 that was played at the Proms. I would like to do something specials for you guys. Among all different versions of the Proms recording I picked the one that I feel would be the best and created a small MP3 file of the last movement, the magnificent “Feierlich, nicht schnell”.

Listen that and learn how Bruckner shall be performed. Discard some manor VPO bloopers – instead get the majesty of that music and discover/learn how Bruckner MIGH be played.
Among many of my favorite moment at this recording there is the one what the orchestra begin to develop the final closing, it is ~ at 20.15m. The first violins run this gorges vibrating mosaic, ala the adagio from 7th symphony, and then the horn introduce that phenomenal thyme of releasing of sins with consequential whole orchestral build up. The VPO did just phenomenal in there and the setting is very close to the Master and Margarita what Worland realize Pontius Pilate's and he walk the moonlight to his Christ. I have been listening probably 2-3 times a day that Bruckner 8 since return from London.
