Dan D' Agostinos breathtaking Momentum amplifier
.... he stopped a $27.500,00 unit during his measurements based on too much heat
The other mono (½ of $55.000,00) amp will get only 50% of his usual test time, he is afraid, it will burn down.
Mr. Framer writes: " .... after spending a great deal of time listening to the Momentums, I kept coming back to their overall seamlessness, their tube-like midband delicacy, their bottom-end authority ...."
I had tears in my eyes (I am sensitive), yes, that is modern High-End.
Atki shouldn't be so nervous, that's normal, Agostino Designs sound best before they burn....it won't hurt when you have one or two Fire extinguishers in your room while listening :-)
I don't understand why he moved on, normally he had to give the amps back. When other brands pass his tests and here he ignores it, then I ask myself, for what are his tests good for?
