Romy says "I have probably somewhere around 15K of records,"
I'm down to One thousand LPs. I'm older than you and I calculate that I only have a dozen or so cycles through them before they sound just as good on a boombox speaker as over my stereo. One thousand LPs translates into about 650 hours of music. So if I listen 3 hours a day for say 300 days a year it will take me about 10 months to just go through them once. To go through them a dozen times will take me about 10 years assuming I make it to 70. After 70 I won't be bothered by digital high frequency filters anymore and I will need to get brighter harsher electronics so everything doesn't sound too dark.
Now if I had 15000 LPs that would be about 10000 hours of music which would make it doubtful my hearing would last long enough to hear them all (no pun intended)
