Sorry to be so dim; I don't get it.  Why not just kill a chicken and drizzle the blood?

As for protecting TTs, a good wall-mount shelf can cut bleed-through quite a bit vs. a stand that sits on a "raised" floor.  As for tonearms, start with something strudy that features adjustable Si damping.  If adding mass to a headshell, consider a dab of model maker's clay.
