And I too would love to have a good recording of one of those Gould performances.
Incidentally I would agree that playing Baroque as if it were High Romantic is not the way to go. Even worse is to play it like some schmaltzy action-movie soundtrack. For me, precision and restraint are how I like to hear that period, whatever the instrument.Rerurn to Romy the Cat's Site
