Romy, I agree that it is not necessary to spend that amount of money to get good sounding speakers. But in the real life situation you'll have to pay for design, quality, manufacturing and of course... good sound. Let's take the Tannoy Westminster Royal HE's. These are very good speakers, although expensive. They could be priced less of course, let's say half of the market price for a new one (which is about $22,000), but they also deliver a combination of sound qualities that is hard to find for less (unfortunately). Another example is the Duevel Jupiter omnidirectional speakers. Of course they are overpriced too, but it is very difficult to get the same sound properties for far less money (again unfortunately). Do you or don't you agree with this?
