Well, a lot of horns are put into box enclosures of course. This is really a complicated subject. The baffle must be dealt with in a manner similarly for all loudspeakers so designed of course. More interestingly is the potential for the back wave to become a problem in a poorly designed enclosure, although well made compression drivers should minimize this problem. I would also hazard to say that for any system with substantial extension to the bass frequencies, the boxes would be gigantic and IMHO huge ugly boxes, but who am I to judge? Adrian
