Almost 40 years ago, today, on June 25, 1967 400 million people on all continents had a chance to watch a first-ever global live television broadcast with Beatles premiered their “All You Need is Love”:

Interesting that “live” television broadcasts have their own power. The Roger Waters’ extraordinary broadcast “The Wall: Live in Berlin” on July 21 1990 comes to my mind with 300,000 people in attendance and 500 million people watch it live around the word. I was one of them. I was shooting a Saturday wedding in some small village in damn Russian jungle and juts returned to my hotel. At that time the live broadcast just started. It was quite amazing….
Both broadcasts are amazing today as they were then, today probably they are amassing even more...
“Hold on hold on soldier When you add it all up The tears and marrowbone There's an ounce of gold And an ounce of pride in each ledger And the Germans killed the Jews And the Jews killed the Arabs And Arabs killed the hostages And that is the news And is it any wonder That the monkey's confused He said Mama Mama The President's a fool Why do I have to keep reading These technical manuals And the joint chiefs of staff And the brokers on Wall Street said Don't make us laugh You're a smart kid..."
From Roger Waters “Amused to Death”....
