This new speakers from DeVore look interesting, though subwoofer could be better. I wish they were sealed box, but this is what it is. Unfortunately there is no chance for me to listen to them, but I'm willing to hear your idea or anyone who had chance to listen.http://devorefidelity.com/oref/

Actually speaks for itself, I think:

Hard to make good LF with a 10"; hard to deal with much more, at least from a business perspective.

Paul thanks for sharing this video,
Looking at topology of DeVore's new speakers I thought there is a smart mind behind its design. Just wishful thinking...Watching that disappointing clip was an eye opener, I completely changed my mind.
Those speakers may sound good I don't know, but there is no smartness in that clip.

I actually preferred this video to most of the "reviews" I've read, for years; it is what it is.  Not sure, but I think maybe most of the problems of that system have to do with LF, apart - of course - from the fact that something like this will always compress real music, which today's "demonstrations" rarely play, in any case. I was killing time recently, flitting around the internet, trying to find expensive speakers playing real orchestral music. I found only one example, the Wilson Alexx, playing Beethoven 9.  I t was the first time I "heard" this speaker sounding interesting enough to encourage further inquiry, and other snippets of less demanding music I "heard" after that were OK, as well, making me curious, unlike when I heard them demonstrated at THE Show. These might be better "integrated" than the WAMMs, likely easier to integrate into a system/room.

Best regards,

Dear Paul, I have no idea how the low -or high- frequency response of these speakers are, for me it's impossible to judge a system on youtube, it's beyond me. It is possible that they are very good sounding speakers. But what annoyed me, was the presentation. It was so foolish. Pinnacle of that stupid clip was showing that gentleman's Seiko watch!

Yes, sounds via YouTube are relative at best, and no one should really judge a speaker that way, although one is usually safe with a summary dismissal where any commercial hi-fi product is concerned.  I guess I was amused by the "sales notes" and arbitrary measurements popping up on the screen, and I like the fact that all the nonsense is right out in the open, set against that stupid "music".  The prevalence of the insignificant music is hard to get around because most components and systems were "designed" around and "developed" for this crap, so even if one brings LPs or CDs to a "showroom", they are listening through a system tuned that way.

These speakers sound to me rather like big Audio Note speakers, maybe trying harder for LF.  Some boxy sound in lower MF, like the O-96.  The O-93 has none of this but it doesn't sound as natural in that region with respect to balance, either.
