fiogf49gjkf0d John Berky, the guy who runs abruckner.com dug out, reportedly from the conductor himself, the 94/24 recordings of Eduardo Chibas 7, 8 and 9 symphonies with Orquesta Sinfonica Venezuela. http://www.abruckner.com/store/downloads/ChibasBruckner/ The interpretations, in my view, are not super hot, the orchestra is not too suitable for Bruckner and Sound is not particularly good, but the price is very reasonable. There is not a lot of Bruckner at 24bit out there. If you know any than post the information. Rgs, Romy the Cat

fiogf49gjkf0d There is a Canadian company - Atma Classique that has some very good Bruckner recording available in 24bit. Yannick Nézet-Séguin is yong but very interesting conductor with in my view very good grab of Bruckner. I have his 8 symphony with Métropolitain and it is at time very stimulating. Now I wonder, the symphonies 4 and 6 that Atma Classique offer as 24Bit download, are they the dabs of master files of juts up streamed CDs? The company site says nothing about the company digital culture.

Well there is no honor among thiev ... uh music companies. As you are well aware, Sony and others regularly market SACDs which are merely resampled CD files. Vinyl reissues often use a CD file as the source, more rarely a higher rate file. If they don't state what they are doing assume they are doing the easiest (worst) thing. A few SACD music labels do specify a pure DSD path but the vast majority don't. Pristine Audio provides "high rate" PCM download files of Wagner sourced from a needledrop. And so the story goes ....

hm.. I hope that this is not the case. You see, not all of the symphonies have 24 bit options ang I think it is a good sign. They migh make the only 24 bit downloads available if the had sources. It just migh be. I wish the do not charge premium for downloadable version but this is totally different subject. BTW, the metropolitan orchestra from some perspective is the best orchestra in US, so it might be interesting....
