It looks like Denial Weiss has some kind of new Music Server with very sexy full-screen remote control. Does anybody know anything about it?

a full monty iPad from Apple. It is becoming a kind of "industrial standard" for commercial DAW remotes or for playback-software.

Thanks, Bernie, I am not familiar with anything Apple, so pardon my ignorance. So, the remote is some kind of available off the shelf devise the runs Weiss commuter remotely. It is nice that Denial Weiss made it as transport as well as a full playback station with DAC built in. I am not a huge fun of Weiss DACs, so for somebody like me the “transport DAW” would be an option. It is not that I am on market – I juts fixe my old DAW but I juts am looking at the new Weiss unit.

There are two most interesting moments in this new Weiss devise: what player he uses to play file and what interface he used to take the stream out to DAC. Both are not know and I doubt the Denial will talk about it.

The most interesting however is appraisal is a new Weiss DAW has any sonic merits.  I do not say that it does or does not. We just not accustom to compare DAWs by sound. We differentiate then by comfort of operation, the comfort of remote but I did not see a lot of talk about quality of DAW sound. I generally am not big DAW supporter and I feel that it today world DAW is hardly usable tool.  Still, it is nice to see that DAWs progress…

I haven't tried the Weiss but tried a few others  and I can tell you sonically the Bryston BP-1 blows the doors off anything else by a country mile.Maybe there are others just as good but I haven't heard any. However it is not an all in one solution.
