Brooks Audio is a reseller somewhere in Utah, I think he is Ale Acoustic US rep. Utah is reportedly a some kind region in US between Massachusetts’ Tanglewood and California. It looks like Kevin Brooks is moving and he is selling his Acoustic System.
He is how he descries it:
Ale Acoustic Permandule Horns Speakers
Here is my demo pair of Ale Acoustic Horns and compression drivers. Consists of a pair of Ale permandule P1750 Tweeters, P4550 uppper midrange, P7550 midrange, Alnico and Permandule A126 midbass (small 145 pounds drivers) EX70 horns. Custom built passive 4 way crossovers based on Ale schematic. 2 small horns for P4550. 2 large 30 inch diameter horns for the P7550 drivers. (You can have a choice of the large Bill Woods Woodern horns or the large metal horns pictured) The retail on all this equipment is $137,000. plus what ever shipping and duties are when buying them new. Moving, so must sell. Any questions please email or call me at 801 372 1635, Kevin
He also is trying to unload his Ale Acoustic 160 Bass Horn Drivers 8 ohms with 42 feet long bass horns with mouth 71/2 feet by 61/2 feet.
I can only sympathies with Kevin, to move with all of it truly difficult, however I mention this setup not because my memory of my recent moive and not because the selling action but to illustrate what people are doing out there. The Kevin setup might have expensive drivers (I do not know ALE drivers and I do not know if they are good) and some kind of big horns but in my view the Kevin’s acoustic system is incredibly unintelligent. This is what I call Goto-style setup when people pile up a bunch of drivers in random fashion. The people who read my site would know all criticism that I would impose to Kevin Acoustic System, so I would not go into it and just present it as a illustration.
I hope that if Kevin is willing to built at new location a new playback then he would do something better than just throw driver and to see what will stick to the frame. Rgs, Romy the Cat
