After posting the article in Audio For Dummies ™ section:

I had a long conversation with a friend of mine who blamed in ignorance and luck of sincerity on the subject. He is a strong believer in SS bass and was very skeptical about my abovementioned position.
Well, understanding all theoretical and practical consideration why SS bass should be more beneficial for a dedicated LF section I would bring the only one argument: I never ever heard SS amplifiers that produced proper bass (Should I mention that I have heard quite few best SS candidates?). Each and single SS amplifier that I head (and let virtually mask out the problems with the LF section themselves) always produced “helped” bass. The SS bass is always more pretty then real bass and more “swallowable” for listening experiences. It is very possible to make by venture of SS bass to be superbly impressive, demonstrateably beautiful and to have a some kind of audio moron to visit your room loosing his consciousness from Patricia Barber’ off-phase doubles bass. Furthermore, it is possible to male SS bass at acceptable level of your playback system does not reproduce anything more complicated then jazz music. However, if you wiling to dive into ultimate complexity of classic music reproduction and if you willing to have this infinite softness of classic performing space then SS amplification should not be used for LF.
Under no circumstance I would suggest that I know, or care about the causality of this “No SS bass Rule”. I do not research the reasons but only report the apparent facts. It is up to you how to use the conclusion.
